We are seeking a talented Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and possess a diverse skill set in various software and tools used in the industry! Being a Technical Artist at AlterConnect would entail designing end-to-end experiences with satisfying and novel core mechanics and loops for our AAA projects. You’ll be at the forefront of prototyping, designing, and shipping the game front of our project’s storytelling and cinematic experience. You will work with a small team to develop and maintain gameplay features such as character behavior, effects, VFX, sound, camera behavior, and physically-based animation and simulation, including character locomotion and control planning in virtual environments. This is a paid position that offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and expand your artistic skills. Most importantly you would be helping with our narrative branching gameplay options by adding in technical inputs of game architecture. Responsibilities:

- Define, document, and level up the end-to-end workflow for our many creative disciplines, such as Character Art, Animation, Environment Art, Audio, UI/UX and VFX.
- Develop and maintain underlying game implementation systems: custom scripting, UI flow, I/O, Editor plugins, and Implement UX: 2D interface, sound, FX.
- Improve the tools, rigs, and workflow, on our game dev project with best up to date production pipeline practices.

Qualifications:

- 2-3+ years of experience as a technical artist in the gaming industry with sufficient game programming experience
 Bachelor's (Required)
- Experience with content optimisation techniques and software for easier game profiling results for cross-platform games
- Fluency in modern scripting languages and related UI frameworks, such as Python and C# or C++ for Unity
- Proficiency in software tools: Maya and Unity, with a preference of experience with Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Unreal Engine
- Proficient in verbal and written communication of technical concepts
